I was feeling really down in the dumps yesterday morning . Just really really BLAH and CRANKY ! I'm not to sure why as I tend to do better first thing in the morning, I normally have more energy and less pain, as my nightly pain meds haven't worn off yet. But the best part of my mornings is that I generally have them to myself. . Mr.Handyman is out of the house on his way to work, our dog Romeo is still extremely lazy and is snuggled bed, and the neighbor kids are on their way to school for the day (we live in a townhouse so we feel and hear when they slam the door, which is almost all of the time) So all is quiet! I just get to laze around before facing the world.
I was going through my regular morning routine of getting a cup of coffee and some breakfast, reading the news headlines online, and checking my Facebook page. The sun was shining in through the window, and birds were chirping. But the only thing I could think was can those birds just shut up and go back to where they were, dam sun why are you shinning in my window, I hate the sun!!!! I then chose to immediately close all my blind and windows and vowed never to open them again.
I knew that is I couldn't find or do something to improve my mood it would be nothing but fighting and bickering with Mr Handyman all night. So I sat down and took several deep breaths, told myself to smarten up and went online for pick me up. You see I have a slight addiction to Pinterest. I just can't help it, there are so many amazing ideas on that sight. I especially love it for recipes and lunch box ideas for Mr.Handyman. (more on that later)
While on Pinterest I can across tons of great poems, quotes, poster etc.... It made me remember what I love about life, reading these posts were just the pick me up I needed to get me out of my funk. While reading them it got me to thinking, everyone has those days where you feel not quite yourself. So I have decided to start inspiration Mondays, where I post quotes, pictures, posters, sayings etc... to bring a little sunlight into your day. So without further ado here is the first Inspiration Monday Post, hope you enjoy it!
